Acts Ch 9:1-22 Saul Saw the Light

November 7, 2026

Summary

ive hundred and nine years ago yesterday, a monk named Martin Luther nailed ninety-five complaints to the Catholic church door in Wittenberg, and the world has never been the same.
We call it the Reformation. It is the birth of all Biblical Churches!
It started October 31, 1517.
And every year on this day we remember that God, in His mercy, recovered the gospel from the rubble of human tradition.

But here’s what I want us to see this morning… and it’s the reason God has us in this text on this weekend and not some other.
Luther’s reformation was not the first one.
It wasn’t even the biggest one.
The biggest one happened on a road outside Damascus, roughly fifteen hundred years earlier, to a man who was breathing threats and murder against the church of God the Father and Jesus Christ.
